An Update On How Recent Donations Were Spent…

On the 24th February 2025 I put out a call for badly needed donations and I was so grateful for the rush of support that came in. It made a BIG difference as we were totally out of funds and quite a few of our bills were overdue. I wanted to share exactly how your kind donations from that post (and since) have been spent...

[Every single one of these costs enables UKWT Drivers on the road & one Driver = many wild lives getting emergency care.]

Income since 24th February: £541

This was spent on:

£200 - 2 Wildlife Care Badge Grants for WCB Holders were awarded, for January & February 2025.  (They were awarded to 2 small Hedgehog Rescues at £100 each to fund medications & other care costs).

£100 - We funded WCB Patreon Membership for 2 months, covering January & February 2025 (providing valuable support to the WCB Holder Community of Wildlife Rescuers).

£131 - A new printer and recycled paper were purchased.

£7.34 - Map app.

£69 - Website fees were covered for January & February months, for the WCB, UKWT and the WCB Map.

£21.60 - Email accounts for UKWT and the WCB were covered for one month.

£12.05 - 2 Driver Recruitment Instagram adverts ran for one week.

Outgoings since 24th February total: £540.99

IMPACT, THANKS TO YOUR DONATIONS…

  • 3 new UKWT Drivers have signed up (and contact has been made with them to get them set up with carriers & disinfectant and allocated to Driver Teams).

  • Thanks to your donations, we have actually had the capital to purchase a printer, from which to print all of our recruitment posters and ‘transport support documents’ for Vet Practices, from now on.  This will save us significant funding for printing in the future and enable us to move forward much quicker.  Some posters & Vet Practice documents have already been printed and are being posted up this week and handed in to Vet Practices.

  • Our Driver Recruitment instagram adverts have led to 40 new followers on instagram and (I think, so far) 2 new Drivers.
